Website and Application Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of all mobile applications published by Detective Studio on Google Play, Huawei AppGallery and other app stores (the "Apps"), and of the websites apptosd.com and detectivestudio.com, including the help center and support ticket system (the "Sites"). The Apps and Sites are together called the "Services". By downloading, installing or using any of the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services and uninstall the Apps.

1. Who we are

1.1 The Services are provided by Detective Studio, Bozkurt, Kastamonu, Türkiye (e-mail: [email protected]). Within the scope of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), Detective Studio acts as the data controller for the personal data described in section 4.

1.2 Our Apps include utility tools such as moving apps and files to an SD card and storage cleaning, recovery of deleted photos, videos, audio, documents and contacts, a PIN-protected file vault, notification history, QR and barcode scanning, video compression and enhancement, audio noise removal, sticker creation and store catalog browsing. Features differ between Apps and between free and paid (PRO) editions.

2. Eligibility and your account

2.1 The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the permission of your parent or legal guardian. If we learn that we have received personal data from a child under 13 without the required consent, we will delete it.

2.2 Some Services require an account (for example the support ticket system, publishing sticker packs or buying credits). You must give accurate information, keep your password and two-factor codes secret, and inform us immediately of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may refuse or remove accounts created with false, temporary or automated information.

3. Licence to use the Apps

3.1 Subject to these Terms, Detective Studio grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Apps on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. The applicable app store's terms (such as the Google Play Terms of Service) also apply.

3.2 You may not: copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the Services, except where the law expressly allows it; remove or bypass advertising, licence checks, purchase verification or security measures; resell, rent or distribute the Apps; use bots, scrapers or automated means to access the Sites or our servers; or interfere with the operation or security of the Services.

4. Your data and privacy

4.1 On-device processing. Recovery scans, storage and junk analysis, moving files, the vault, notification history, compression, noise removal, video enhancement performed on your device and sticker editing (including background removal) run locally. The files and content involved stay on your device and are not sent to Detective Studio.

4.2 Permissions. The Apps ask only for the permissions a feature needs – for example access to files and storage for recovery, cleaning and moving files, notification access for notification history, or the camera for QR scanning. Each permission is used only for the feature it was requested for. You can revoke permissions at any time in your phone's settings; the related feature will then stop working.

4.3 Data you choose to send us. We process the following only when you actively provide it: your name, e-mail address, messages and attachments when you open a support ticket; the sticker packs and profile information you publish in StickerTR; account and credit information for Apps that use accounts or credits; and e-mails you send us. We use this data only to provide the requested service, answer your request, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Sticker packs you publish are visible to other users.

4.4 Service providers. Like most apps, the Apps use trusted third-party services that may collect limited technical data (such as device model, operating system, IP address, advertising ID, crash reports and app usage events) under their own privacy policies:

• Google Play services and Google Play Billing / Huawei AppGallery – app delivery, payments and licence checks;
• Google AdMob and its mediation partners – advertising in free editions;
• Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Authentication, Firestore) – app stability, anonymous usage statistics and, where used, accounts and credits;
• Google Sign-In, Google reCAPTCHA, Google AdSense, Google Translate and our e-mail provider on the Sites.

In the barcode scanner, the scanned barcode number (not your photos) may be sent to product databases such as Open Food Facts to show product information. We do not sell personal data, and we do not allow our service providers to use your files or content.

4.5 Advertising choices. Free editions show ads. Where required by law, we ask for your consent to personalised advertising. You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings (Settings › Google › Ads, or Settings › Privacy › Ads). PRO editions do not show ads.

4.6 Security. We protect the data on our servers with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, two-factor authentication for administrators and private storage for ticket attachments. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

4.7 Retention and deletion. We keep support tickets and account data only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected for, or as required by law. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time – see How to Request Deletion of Your Data. Data stored only on your device (files, vault, notification history) is deleted when you delete it or uninstall the App; we cannot delete or recover it for you because we never have a copy.

4.8 Your rights under KVKK and similar laws. Under Article 11 of KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing, to know the third parties it is transferred to, to request correction or deletion, to object to results arising exclusively from automated processing, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing. Users in the EU/EEA have comparable rights under the GDPR. Send requests to [email protected] or through a support ticket; we answer within 30 days at the latest.

5. Responsible use of the Apps

5.1 Some Apps work with sensitive content: recovery tools can find deleted files, notification history saves incoming notifications and the vault hides files. You may use these features only on devices you own or are authorised to use, and only for your own data or data you have the right to access. Using the Apps to access, recover, read or monitor another person's data, messages or notifications without their consent is strictly prohibited and may be a crime (for example under Articles 134, 136, 243 and 244 of the Turkish Penal Code and under KVKK). You are solely responsible for any such use.

5.2 Back up your data. Cleaning, moving, compressing, converting and deleting files change the data on your device. Always keep a backup of important files. Please read the warnings shown before an action and confirm only if you are sure.

5.3 No guaranteed results. Results depend on your device, Android version, manufacturer settings, storage type and the condition of your data. We cannot guarantee that every deleted file can be recovered, that every app can be moved to an SD card, or that a given compression, enhancement or cleaning result will be achieved. Estimated values shown in the Apps (for example space to be freed) are approximate.

5.4 Vault PIN. Files in the vault are protected by the PIN and security questions you set. Because we never have a copy of your files or PIN, we cannot restore access if you lose them. Keep your recovery information safe and back up vault files before uninstalling the App.

6. Purchases, subscriptions and refunds

6.1 PRO editions, in-app purchases, subscriptions and credits are sold and processed by Google Play, Huawei AppGallery or the relevant app store under its own payment terms. Detective Studio does not receive or store your card details.

6.2 Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your app store account (for Google Play: Play Store › Profile › Payments & subscriptions); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Uninstalling an App does not cancel a subscription.

6.3 Refunds follow the policy of the store you purchased from (see How to Request a Refund). Because the Apps are digital content delivered immediately after purchase with your approval, the right of withdrawal may not apply under Article 15(1)(ğ) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected. If a paid feature does not work as described, contact us and we will help or support your refund request.

6.4 Credits and other virtual items have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money and may be used only within the relevant App, unless the law requires otherwise.

7. Content you upload

7.1 For any sticker, image, text, file or other content you upload or send through the Services ("Your Content"), you confirm that you own it or have all necessary rights, that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, personality or privacy rights, and that it complies with these Terms and the law.

7.2 You keep ownership of Your Content. By publishing content that is meant to be shared (such as public sticker packs), you grant Detective Studio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute it within the Services for as long as it is published. Content you send privately (such as support tickets) is used only to handle your request.

7.3 You may not upload content that infringes the rights of others; is pornographic, obscene, hateful, defamatory, violent or discriminatory; exploits or endangers minors; depicts cruelty to animals; promotes illegal activity, fraud, spam or misleading advertising; contains malware; or otherwise violates the law.

7.4 We may review, refuse or remove any content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where the law allows. If you believe content in our Services infringes your rights, send a notice to [email protected] identifying the content and your rights. We handle notices in line with Law No. 5651 on internet publications, Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works and, where applicable, the DMCA notice-and-takedown procedure.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 The Services, including their software, design, texts, graphics, icons, help articles, names and logos, are owned by Detective Studio or its licensors and are protected by Law No. 5846, Industrial Property Law No. 6769 and international treaties. Except for the limited licence in section 3, no rights are granted to you.

8.2 You may not use the Detective Studio name, app names, logos or trade dress, or confusingly similar marks, in any domain name, app name, keyword, advertisement or product without our prior written consent. Names and trademarks of third parties (such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Google, Samsung or Huawei) belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility; this does not imply endorsement.

9. Third-party services and links

9.1 The Services may contain ads and links to, or work together with, third-party apps, websites and services (for example WhatsApp, Telegram, app stores and product databases). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, products or privacy practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

10. Changes and availability

10.1 We continuously develop the Services and may add, change, limit or remove features, or discontinue an App, in particular to comply with law, app-store policies (such as Google Play policies) or technical requirements. Paid features that you have purchased will be handled in line with the law and store policies.

10.2 We try to keep the Services available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates and events outside our control may cause interruptions.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

11.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. This does not affect the rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law, including Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection.

12. Limitation of liability

12.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Detective Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profit, or loss of data or files – in particular data lost because files were cleaned, moved, compressed, deleted or not recoverable, or because a device was used without a backup – nor for damage caused by misuse of the Services, third-party services, device or operating system errors, or events outside our reasonable control (force majeure).

12.2 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or in connection with the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant App or feature in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Turkish law, in particular liability for intent or gross negligence (Article 115 of the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098), or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

13. Indemnification

13.1 To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Detective Studio for claims, damages and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, Your Content, your unlawful use of the Services or your violation of the rights of others.

14. Suspension and termination

14.1 You may stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the Apps and, where applicable, requesting deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Services if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if required by law or by an app store, or to protect other users or the security of the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 7, 8 and 11 to 16) will continue to apply.

15. Changes to these Terms

15.1 We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, the law or app-store policies. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will give reasonable notice in the Apps or on the Sites before they take effect. If you continue to use the Services after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, please stop using the Services.

16. Governing law and disputes

16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

16.2 Before taking legal action, please contact us at [email protected] – most issues can be solved quickly.

16.3 The courts and enforcement offices of Kastamonu, Türkiye have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. If you are a consumer, this does not affect your right under Law No. 6502 to apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee or the Consumer Court of your place of residence, or any mandatory rights granted to you by the laws of your country of residence.

16.4 Electronic records kept in our systems (such as logs, purchase confirmations and correspondence) may be used as evidence in accordance with Article 193 of the Turkish Code of Civil Procedure No. 6100, without prejudice to your right to present counter-evidence.

17. General provisions

17.1 These Terms, together with any additional terms shown for a specific feature and the applicable app-store terms, form the entire agreement between you and Detective Studio regarding the Services. If you have signed a separate licence agreement with us, that agreement prevails in case of conflict.

17.2 If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. We may transfer these Terms in connection with a transfer of the Services; you may not transfer your rights without our consent.

17.3 These Terms are written in English. Translations shown by automatic translation tools are for convenience only; in case of doubt, the English version applies unless the law requires otherwise.
